Also importation or possession of poppy seeds is strictly prohibited.

Alcohol

Generally alcohol drinking is forbidden with few exceptions.
The guests of the hotel may drink in hotel’s bar or restaurant. Non-Muslim residents in UAE need to carry the personal liquor license.
The permit for possession alcohol is issued by the Ministry of Interior.

The tourists may bring to Dubai 2 l of alcohol above 22% , and 2 l of wine.
