Deira
Deira and Bur Dubai are the oldest parts of the city situated around the old port. Deira occupies the Eastern bank of Dubai Creek, and here, near the old pier for merchant's boats one can find the traditional markets - Gold and Spice Souks or Fish market. Heritage House and Al-Ahmadiya School show the life in Emirates of the past, but the nearly finished artificial island Palm Deira is an incredible technology bridge to the future.
