Dubai Marina

In : West Jumeirah

Dubai Marina is a man-made area in the heart of East Jumeirah, in the area called sometimes ‘new Dubai’ as many of recent stunning developments there became the symbols of Dubai shortly after finishing. Dubai Marina is located near Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, and shares the view over Gulf waters with Palm Jumeirah Island.
An artificial channel separates land from Marina, which after completion is going to be the biggest man-made marina in the world. The area is almost completely covered by luxury hotels and
residences developed by the real estate development firm Emaar Properties of the United Arab Emirates. The brand names include Ritz, Hilton, Sheraton and Oasis Beach Hotel. The area was supposed to be enriched by the presence of Hydropolis Underwater Hotel, the construction of which is however delayed mainly due to technical problems.
The ground works commences according to the schedule, and already has been completed the ‘phase one’ of development which consists of six six waterfront apartment towers (Dubai Marina Towers) surrounded by 64 luxury villas. The ‘phase two’ targets to build some 200 of high rise buildings, including the Al Majara Towers and Al Sahab twin Towers.

The water marina offers international standard berthing facilities for 300 boats from 25 – 60 ft and a club membership of Dubai International Marine Club, known for hosting various world regatta and powerboat races. There is also Jebel Ali Sailing Club and other new societies located in or around Marina.
